Complaints procedure

If you're unhappy with something in our work together, I'd like to hear about it. Here's how to raise it.

How to raise a complaint

1

Talk to me first

Tell me what's wrong, in a session or by message. Most things can be cleared up together.

2

An independent complaints officer

If we can't sort it out, or you'd rather not raise it with me, you can contact the independent complaints officer through the NIP complaints scheme: Centraal Bureau voor Klachtenmanagement in de Zorg (CBKZ) in Gorinchem. This is free for you.

3

The disputes committee

If your complaint isn't resolved, you can take it to De Geschillencommissie Zorg, committee Vrijgevestigde GGZ praktijken, in The Hague: degeschillencommissiezorg.nl. Its decision is binding for both of us.

Professional standards

As a member of the NIP, I follow its professional code (beroepscode). From 1 November 2026 my practice is joined to the NIP Wkkgz complaints scheme, as Dutch law (the Wkkgz) requires. The NIP explains the steps for clients here: nip.nl/clienteninformatie/klachten.
